Positions Vacant: Press Brake Operator +1 Trainee

Full-time permanent– 38 hours per week – early knock-off Friday - immediate start or flexible start

$26 – $36 per hour plus shift loading

At our Meadowbrook Facility on Ellerslie Road:

Press Brake Operator starts on morning shift at 5:30am for controller familiarisation, job management systems crash course and advanced plant induction. Remain on day shift for 2-6 months before moving to afternoon shift primarily operating a Trumpf 5130 folding lighter gauge plate. Shift is empty due to promotion within the organisation so immediate start after your required notice is preferred.

Also hiring 1x Trainee:

Trainee Press Brake Operator starts on morning shift intending to dedicate 2+ years to develop a high skill career in the manufacturing industry. Unlimited training and instruction is provided so no experience is required. This position suits a candidate starting a new career in manufacturing who has an active interest interest in engineering, metal fabrication, industrial/automotive design, 2D or 3D CAD, 3d printing, or computer programming and administration. You will learn bending and folding from the ground up including the programming and automation management of our machines in TruTops Boost. Support is available to complete the formal engineering qualification of your choice.

About Your Team

The people in your team have:

Proven history in sheet metal air bending/folding (TRUMPF experience highly regarded

Experience folding and identifying mild steel, aluminium, and stainless materials

Diverse experience interpreting technical drawings and fabrication instructions

Confidence troubleshooting and refining CNC bending programs at the press

History as a reliable and committed member of a team and effective communication sills

Excellent attention to detail and an attitude conducive to excellence in Quality Control

Working knowledge of production process including job management, NCR/quality, programming, revision control, safety and culture.

A forklift ticket
