Join a tight-knit team where you’ll learn to build timber house frames, wall frames, and roof trusses in a safe, supportive factory environment. You’ll earn while you learn, gaining your Certificate III in Timber Frame and Truss Manufacture (FWP30920) in just 18 months (or less).
This isn’t just a job – it’s your pathway into carpentry, manufacturing, and leadership roles in a high-demand industry.
What you will learn:
- Manufacturing of timber house frames and trusses, using saw operations, tools and machinery
- Physical loading of timber for machining
- Successful and safe use of hand tools
- Interpretation of house plans
- Correct measurement of timber to cut to profile
- Quality control and quantity control, ensuring waste management and accuracy
Future progression in your career could be:
- Qualified Frame and Truss Assembler
- Carpentry Apprenticeship
- Team Leader / Supervisor
- Builder / Site Manager
- Site installer / Erector
Requirements
- Possession of own transport is highly beneficial (p's is fine)
- Full working and study rights in Australia
Traineeship pay rates apply whilst training
A trainee undertaking this qualification may be eligible for up to $6K over a 24-month period.
