About the role

Tamworth Septic & Liquid Waste is seeking an experienced Vacuum Truck Operator to join our growing team in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full-time permanent position, where you will be responsible for operating specialised vacuum trucks to provide septic and liquid waste management services to our valued customers across the region.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate specialised vacuum trucks to pump out and transport Septic waste, Grease traps, Portable toilets, Oily waters and general liquid waste

Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on the vacuum trucks to ensure they are in optimal working condition

Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and procedures

Respond to client callouts in a timely and professional manner

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken via supplied I Pad / I phone

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations and customer service

What we're looking for

Knowledge of septic and liquid waste management systems and regulations

Excellent driving and manoeuvring skills in large vehicles

Strong focus on safety and attention to detail

Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Good communication and customer service skills

Current HR or HC driver's licence

White Card construction industry card

Confined space entry experience
