Matakåta Hire & Events specialise in the installation of large marquees, lighting, furniture and styling for weddings, events, and festivals across NSW.

We are looking for hard-working, ultra-reliable and fun individuals to join and lead our teams for the huge pipeline of work we have ahead. Full training will be provided, after which applicants will be expected to take on the responsibility of executing event installs and takedowns. Previous experience of leading and managing teams is a must for this role.

Initially a 6-month casual basis to cover our busiest period, with plenty of hours available. Potential to made permanent for the right candidate in the right circumstances.

Please note, this is not a 9-5! Days and times vary across jobs and weekend work will be expected however rosters will be provided, allowing successful applicants time to plan leisure time in and around the job. There is plenty of travelling to amazing locations around Sydney and the opportunity to work in the great outdoors.

Other requirements:

Must have current FULL NSW drivers license with MR license or above essential

Must have experience driving small trucks and trailers long distances

Must have experience leading small teams

Must be available to work weekends

Must be based on or near the Central Coast or willing to travel for early starts

Must pass police check

Must have ABN

Experience of building tents/rigging/events desirable but not mandatory
