About the Role
As a Technical Writer, in this temporary role, you'll be responsible for creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation. Collaborating with subject-matter experts, you'll transform complex concepts into user-friendly content.
Duties
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing, refining, and updating over existing documents to align with company standards and site-specific requirements.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, participating in meetings to gather accurate information for documentation.
- Adapting documentation, ensuring structure and content are aligned with operational needs.
- Auditing and streamlining the businesses current document management system for improved accessibility and consistency.
- Replacing outdated documentation with updated specific information.
- Structuring and consolidating the site's safety management system into a streamlined, user-friendly format.
- Developing user-centric materials, including manuals, procedures, and emergency response guides.
- Organising and maintaining a centralized collection of technical documents within the company's system.
- Liaising actively with subject-matter experts to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in manufacturing, operational or industrial sectors.
- Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to various audiences.
- Proficient written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and consolidate information.
- Hands-on experience with documentation tools and content management systems for organizing and maintaining technical content.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations related to technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
