The Opportunity:

Principal Legal Officer (SCL5)

As Principal Legal Officer, you'll form part of the strategic legal leadership team to guide the Department’s legal direction, manage the provision of complex legal advice and oversee litigation and statutory matters across environmental, administrative and public sector law. This influential role builds legal capability across the Department, champions good governance, and fosters trusted relationships with First Nations partners, legal experts and government stakeholders to drive lasting impact.

The current opportunity is on a fixed term basis until December 2027 to support the introduction of Deemed Decision Making for low risk, low complexity assessments.
