A fully Independent Craft Brewery (with multiple awards for our beers), a wholesale business in rapid growth, a 790 capacity Brew Pub in Docklands, Brewpub @ Knox Ozone and a Brewpub & Gin Bar at Chadstone with more to be rolled out over the next few years!
Due to sustained growth and popular demand our 3rd Brew Pub in Chadstone’s Social Quarter has outgrown its original location. A fantastic opportunity exists for the right candidate to oversee the transition to larger premises and make their mark on this exciting evolution.
We are seeking a highly organised and passionate industry professional to join our opening team in the role of Assistant Venue Manager. The role is hands on in operations, leading from the front and is an experience not to be missed.
Responsibilities will include:
Rostering and management of wage controls
Succession planning for FOH team
Implementation of training programs and staff development
Recruitment and induction
Stock control and management of cocktail list
Shift management
A+ Customer Service
Opening & Closing of the venue
You must have the following attributes:
Have a genuine passion for the industry and be committed to customer service
Project a friendly, enthusiastic and positive can do attitude towards guests and staff alike
Team leader and motivator, set goals and help people achieve them
Attention to detail across all facets of the business with pride in presentation both in service and in grooming
Have extensive restaurant and bar service experience
Experience in the controlling financial aspects of a business
Prioritise development and training of staff
Results driven and takes ownership of the role
Essential requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in a service-driven food and beverage business
Strong food and beverage knowledge
Career minded with exceptional leadership & training skills
Ability to work flexible hours
