We offer

Salary range between $77,925 - $84,285 per annum depending on skills/experience, + superannuation.

Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).

5 weeks annual leave per year

Christmas shut down period credited as additional leave.

LSL vested after 7 years of service.

About us

Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation represents the Traditional Owners of the Whadjuk region of the southwest of Western Australia. We work to manage native title benefits, while also advancing and strengthening Noongar culture, language, heritage, and society.

Whadjuk is the name of the dialectal group from the Perth area. The major cities and towns within the Whadjuk region include Perth, Fremantle, Joondalup, Armadale, Toodyay, Wundowie, Bullsbrook and Chidlow. The approximate size of the Whadjuk region is 5580 km.

Throughout the Whadjuk Region there are a range of significant Noongar sites. For instance, Ngooloormayup, known as Carnac Island; Meeandip, known as Garden Island; Gargangara north of Armadale; and Goolamrup, the suburb known as Kelmscott.

Role description

The Membership and Administration Officer will be responsible for managing membership-related tasks, maintaining databases, and providing general administrative support.

Hours

Full time – Maximum Term contract - 75 hours per fortnight.

Duties

Manage and monitor the FORTIX membership database for the corporation including membership enquiries and any other contact databases.

Prepare all required information for director assessment of membership applications and send required communications to members and member applicants.

Organise meetings for the CEO, Board and Cultural Advice Committee (CAC) and General Meetings, including recording meeting minutes, attending meetings, maintaining attendance registers and managing Travel Allowance claims.

Assist the Corporation to meet Service Agreement requirements around matters such as obtaining Corporation approvals for accounts payable, timesheets, Travel Allowance payments, etc.

Assist with maintaining the Corporations record management system, Share Point, and participate in related user group discussions and training.

Provide general clerical and administrative support to all staff across the Corporation.

Attend to visitors and provide reception services including answering phone calls as the initial point of contact.

Provide Office management services, including liaison with the IT services provider and assisting with office equipment maintenance and operation.

Perform other related duties as directed by the CEO.

Selection criteria

Essentials

High level of computer literacy and accurate data processing skills.

Able and willing to work as a member of the Corporation team.

Knowledge of computer and database software, including Microsoft Office packages.

Ability to use electronic documents and records management system (SharePoint)

Ability to write and present reports and create and use spreadsheets.

Desirable

Vocational qualifications would be highly regarded

Current drivers license.
