About The Role!

The Communications Coordinator plays a vital role across the Communications & Marketing team. This role is responsible for supporting and delivering the day-to-day communication activity for members, in alignment with the key identified strategic priorities and projects for the Guild. This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity and is based at the Guild’s National Secretariat in Canberra.

The role responsibilities of the Communications Coordinator include:

Planning, drafting and editing regular, high quality written content for member, industry and patient channels including for electronic direct mail, media releases, social media, website and member and industry publications.

Supporting the coordination, production, scheduling and rollout of digital multimedia products, including video, for Guild member, industry and patient communication channels, as required and support the Communications and Marketing team.

Developing and delivering a robust and comprehensive social media strategy for Guild member and industry channels

Providing communications advice to Guild internal teams and branches to support innovative, best-practice strategic communication delivery.

Developing trusted and productive working relationships with Guild internal teams, branches, executive and senior Guild representatives to support delivery of marketing and communications objectives and identified Guild campaigns.

Regular reporting and analysis of channel activity and ability to make recommendations for continuous improvement.

The following work experience and knowledge is required:

Experiencing and ability using contemporary email campaign systems (Vision 6 or similar)

Experience effectively planning and managing social media output for social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Experience and ability using contemporary social media scheduling and reporting tools (Loomly or similar)

Experience and ability using contemporary website content management systems, such as Squiz Matrix

Demonstrated track record developing strong stakeholder relationships to enable and support the delivery of strategic initiatives

Knowledge and experience of print production (desirable)

Experience using contemporary design and video editing software (desirable)
