Location Priority: We have multiple SILs and Community based clients throughout Adelaide, and preference will be given to Support Workers who are willing to travel. However, we welcome applicants from all over.
Disability Support Workers (SIL) – Casual employment
We are looking for highly experienced support workers to join our team and work in SIL and community based settings all throughout numerous locations around Adelaide. You will be resilient, compassionate and skilled with experience in supporting clients with complex psycho-social disabilities and physical disabilities. You will also have a full South Australian Driver's License and excellent reliability - that's a given!

About You
You will have a positive person-centered approach, experienced in supporting people with mental health concerns, complex developmental trauma, physical or neurological disabilities. You will have a basic understanding of Trauma Informed Practice, You will enjoy supporting people with challenging behaviours in all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation, managing appointments, prompting and encouraging personal care, and engaging in community activities.
You will also have excellent English speaking and written communication.
Your availability to work a range of shifts, and high commitment to our clients will be key to your success in this position.
You will have the following credentials:
Cert III, Cert IV (or higher) Individual / Disability Support (Or a related qualification)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or DCSI Disability Screening
Provide First Aid (must be within 3 years of date of issue)
CPR (must be within 12 months of date of issue)
Assist with Medications (within 12 months of date of issue and include a Face-to-Face component)
South Australian Driver's License, comprehensive vehicle insurance and a safe, reliable vehicle.
Working with Children Check
National Police Clearance

Manual Handling
MAPA Training
Experience in working with Autism
Diabetes Training
Dementia Training
Aged Care Experience
Psychological Assessment/suitability
