About the role

Join our team at Chocolat of Mornington as a full-time Pastry Assistant. You will be a key member of our vibrant kitchen, supporting our talented pastry chefs in creating delectable desserts and baked goods. What you'll be doing

• Assisting pastry chefs with the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, cakes, and other bakery items
• Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes to ensure consistent quality
• Decorating and finishing baked goods with attention to presentation
• Maintaining a clean and organised work station throughout the shift
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborating with the wider kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a pastry or bakery environment, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for presentation
• Good time management and the ability to work well under pressure
• A keen interest in baking and a passion for creating high-quality desserts
• The ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
