The Role
MQ Health is recruiting for a Senior Administration Assistant to provide exceptional administration and reception support to the Outpatient Clinics. In this role, you will provide high quality professional service to all patients and visitors at the clinics, being their first point of contact upon arrival. This role is also essential towards the day-to-day operations of the clinics, as you will support patients and also internal teams with key tasks such as:
- Being the primary contact for first level escalation support to patient queries, escalating unresolved issues to the Clinic Coordinator or Practice Manager.
- Liaise and act as the primary contact for internal teams, MQ Health and Macquarie University Finance teams, to support private health billing, relevant Medicare billings and claims reconciliation
- Contribute towards continuous improvement of the administration process.
- Train, coach and mentor reception and administrative staff as required, including onboarding.

To Apply
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate in your resume and a 1-page cover letter that you possess:
- Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service and patient experience to build rapport and empathise with patients.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Experience leading or mentoring administrative staff, including coordinating workflows, supporting training, and promoting a positive team culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical team members to achieve operational goals.
- Understanding of and experience with Medicare and health insurance schemes and patient billing arrangements.
