About the role

Think Water Whitsunday is seeking a dedicated In Field Pump Technician to join our team in Proserpine, QLD. As an In Field Pump Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of pumping equipment for our diverse client base at their sites. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose, service and repair a variety of pump systems (on site)

Repairs/installation of irrigation and water treatment systems (on site)

Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding the selection, installation, and operation of pump systems (on site)

Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work, as well as recommend improvements or upgrades to pumping systems

Collaborate with the wider team to share knowledge and best practices

Adhere to all relevant safety standards and procedures

PLEASE NOTE: This is an onsite role that includes local travel (no work-from-home option). Full training will be provided, but we need someone who can handle a bustling environment and keep pace.

What we're looking for

A keen interest in pumps &/or mechanical knowledge/background

Plumbers looking to diversify are encouraged to apply

Proven track record of successfully diagnosing and repairing a range of pump systems (ideal, but not essential as all training will be provided)

Manual drivers license

Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in often rough terrain

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
