About the role

AMS Aluminium Machinery Solutions is seeking an experienced full-time Field Service Technician to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our range of aluminium processing equipment all across Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown services for our clients' aluminium processing machinery, including CNC Routers.

Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Provide Installation, technical guidance and training to our clients' operators

Maintain accurate service records and provide detailed reports on all work completed

Collaborate with the wider team to identify opportunities for process improvements

Be willing to travel regionally and interstate from time to time.

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) as a field service technician in the machinery, manufacturing or engineering industry.

Experience with 24v systems including PLC's and Pneumatics (Limited Electrical License or higher is essential)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically

Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required

Able to confidently work independently and as part of a team.
