About the Role
As a Service Coordination Officer, you’ll play a vital role in connecting Carers with the right supports by coordinating services, scheduling appointments, and liaising with providers. Working closely with the Carer Support Planning and Service Delivery Teams, you’ll ensure Carers receive timely, appropriate, and high-quality support that meets their individual needs.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing responsive, person-centred service.
Key responsibilities (not limited to):
Action service requests with urgency and precision for Carers
Source, liaise with, and onboard service providers
Prepare service agreements and maintain accurate compliance documentation
Create and update service provider contracts in our CRM system
Communicate effectively with Carers and service providers via email, phone, and SMS (Pendula platform)
Support peer groups, coaching sessions, carer breaks, and other service activities
Ensure data quality and accurate records management
Assist with administration tasks, invoicing support, and mail merges
Maintain cultural safety and uphold Carers SA’s commitment to being a Child Safe Organisation
About You
You’re a motivated and organised professional who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service. You understand the importance of clear communication, accuracy, and collaboration when supporting vulnerable communities.
You’ll bring:
Demonstrated experience in customer service, administration, or coordination roles
Strong communication and time management skills
Proficiency in CRM systems, Office 365, and digital platforms
Confidence liaising with diverse stakeholders across sectors
Adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement
Cultural competency and an understanding of person-centred practices
While it isn’t essential a knowledge of the Carer or community services sector, and experience using Pendula or similar systems will be of an advantage.
Requirements
Relevant administration qualification and/or experience
Current DHS Working with Children Check
Current National Police Check
Mandatory child protection training (or willingness to complete)
