We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Operator to join our dynamic team at King Island Dairy. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across all areas of the cheesemaking process — from curd handling to demoulding, packing, cleaning, and everything in between. You’ll gain experience across the full spectrum of our factory operations.

What You'll Do

· Work collaboratively across the cheese production line, including moulding, demoulding, cutting, packing, and cleaning

· Operate production or packing line machinery efficiently and safely according to SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

· Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and OH&S procedures to ensure a safe and clean working environment

· Conduct product inspections during processing and packing to uphold our high-quality standards

· Support daily clean downs and sanitation routines to maintain a pristine production environment

· Meet daily production schedules and contribute to achieving site performance targets

What We're Looking For

Experience in food manufacturing or dairy processing is advantageous but not essential

Understanding of hygiene and GMP principles, with a strong safety-first mindset

Comfortable working across day and afternoon shifts, including weekends during peak periods

Forklift licence is highly regarded but not required

Great communicator and team player — you enjoy working with others to get the job done

Positive attitude, reliable, and physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment
