Payroll Officer / Bookkeeper (Part-Time) – Expressions of Interest

We are currently inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Payroll Officers/Bookkeepers who are ready to take ownership of a full-function payroll role within a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in processing end-to-end payroll for employees including onboarding and terminations.

Interpret Awards and Agreements.

Assist with the timely management of month-end.

Work closely with the wider team.

Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve payroll-related inquiries.

Prepare payroll reports and analysis for management.

Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.

Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies.

Required Skills And Competencies

Strong payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry (but not essential).

Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software (e.g., MYOB, Office and Excel)

Experience with Astute Payroll is preferred

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Cert IV in Payroll Admin, TAPS/APA short courses and Aust Wide Tax Courses) are a plus.

Exposure to Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) ideally in the construction sector.

Positive attitude and enjoys working in a team environment.
