Job Description:
• Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices
• Support month-end payroll processes
• Contribute to payroll process improvements

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a long-term opportunity with a large and growing organisation located in Melbourne’s western suburbs. In this role you will be a key member of a collaborative and supportive team. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and responding to payroll-related queries. The role also involves close collaboration with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations across the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a payroll position and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and applicable legislation. You possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You are proactive, dependable, and capable of managing your workload independently in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to adapt, prioritise, and problem-solve will be key to your success in this position.
