The East Corrimal Medical Centre is seeking to employ an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to perform duties as a Registered Nurse at our Medical Practice. This is a casual role.

In this position you will be responsible for:

Vaccinations

Maintaining up to date Health Assessments and Care Plans for our patient population in clinic and at RACF.

Assisting with patient education and community health promotion activities

Assisting doctors with clinical procedures; planning and management of patient care and patient advocacy

Maintaining clinical documentation

Maintaining awareness of OH&S and legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, sterilisation, hazardous materials & safe handling/disposal of medical waste and stock control

Acting within practice and nursing code of ethics and appropriate level of clinical competence

Complying with patient confidentiality and privacy obligations

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Appropriate tertiary qualification & registration certificate

Professional indemnity cover

Demonstrated understanding of needs of general practice and patient-focused approach in service provision

Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, infection control, triage, and enhanced primary care

Current NSW Working With Children Check

Current NSW Police Check

Desirable:

Minimum of one years nursing experience

Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women's Health Certificate, Diabetes Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification

Member of APNA

Previous experience with health assessments, care plans and cycles of care.
