About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to a highly accomplished and impactful CFO, this role offers the chance to work at the heart of strategic decision-making. Initially offered as a 3–4 month temporary contract, this position has a strong view to permanency for the right candidate.

In the first phase, your focus will be on:

1. Constructing comparable P&Ls from limited data
2. Using existing models to assess long-term financial impact - P&L, Balance sheet & Cashflow
3. Conducting feasibility analysis for new acquisitions or developments

• Monthly data analytics and reporting
• Cleansing and preparing complex data sets for analysis
• Building and refining financial models
• Drawing commercial insights from P&L reports and operational data
• Supporting the CFO in evaluating commercial opportunities, including:
• Assisting with monthly financial transaction processing (expected to reduce over time)

Key Responsibilities of the Broader Role Upon Becoming Permanent

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Developing and maintaining long-term financial models
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to drive performance
• Supporting strategic growth initiatives including acquisitions and new developments
• Monitoring compliance with aged care prudential standards
• Providing mentorship and commercial leadership across the finance team

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling
• Ability to work with and cleanse “dirty” data
• Experience in aged care is highly desirable, though candidates from similar sectors such as healthcare, education, not-for-profit, or other service-based industries are strongly encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to start immediately and work (5 days onsite) in Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs
