About the role:
Skillforce Recruitment are seeking an experience and motivated Field Service Technician for a valued client based in Cannington. Out client is a well-established, reputable company operating within the materials handling industry, known for their commitment to quality service and mechanical excellence.
This is a full-time, hands-on position suited to a technician who takes pride in their work and thrives in both workshop and field-based environments. You will be responsible for the servicing and repair of both company-owned and client forklifts, including IC (Gas/Diesel), Electric, and Lithium-Ion models.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs to OEM specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine required scope of work.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, and rebuild components.
• Accurately document job cards, including time, parts, and tasks.
• Attend to breakdowns and after-hours callouts if needed.
• Maintain productivity and safety standards.
• Mentor and assist apprentices when required.
• Contribute to daily workshop operations and housekeeping.

Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years' mechanical servicing experience (forklifts or similar equipment).
• Relevant Trades Qualification (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with record-keeping and job reporting procedures.
• Understanding of workplace Health and Safety standards.
• Forklift servicing background preferred.
