As the Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our aquatic facilities. Reporting to the Aquatics Operations Coordinator, you’ll lead by example, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing pool plant operations, and supporting the lifeguard team to deliver exceptional customer service.
This role operates on a rotational roster over seven days of the week, including early morning, daytime and evening shifts. Penalty rates are applicable for shifts worked before 6am, after 6pm, and on weekends/public holidays, ensuring your dedication is rewarded.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure water quality and pool equipment meet WA Health Department standards.
Oversee and maintain pool plant and mechanical equipment, including preventative maintenance.
Supervise lifeguards to uphold high standards in safety, service, and presentation.
Respond effectively to emergencies and administer first aid as required.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance management of lifeguards.
Liaise with user groups and patrons regarding bookings and facility usage.
Prepare administrative reports and support management in operational activities.
