About the role
As the Strategy & Evaluation Business Partner, you’ll lead the design and implementation of evaluation frameworks, provide advice on strategy development, and collaborate across departments to embed strategic thinking into everyday practice. You’ll prepare high-quality reports and presentations that inform decision-making and demonstrate impact.
This role sits within the Organisational Strategy team and contributes to building a more effective, responsive and future-focused organisation, supporting the development and evaluation of plans and policies that reflect community needs and deliver on Council’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and support on strategy development to ensure alignment with legislative requirements, community needs, and Council’s objectives.
Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and methodologies to assess the effectiveness of strategies and support continuous improvement.
Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate strategic insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate across departments to embed strategic planning and evaluation practices into daily operations and foster a culture of strategic alignment.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategies to inform decision-making and improve organisational outcomes.
Details and benefits of the role
This is a full-time permanent band 6 role with a salary range between $95,565 and $104,167 per annum, plus superannuation.

Hybrid working arrangements.
20 weeks paid primary caregiver leave (6 weeks for secondary caregivers) plus other generous leave options such as family planning and menstrual and menopause leave.
Experience and skills we’re looking for
Tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, evaluation, strategy or a related field
Proven experience in strategic planning and/or evaluation, ideally in a public sector or local government context
Strong knowledge of performance measurement frameworks, data analysis and evaluation methodologies
Collaborative approach and ability to influence change across teams
