Position: Full-Time Diploma Qualified Child Care Educator

Currumbin Pines Early Learning Centre of Excellence is seeking a dedicated Child Care Educator to join our passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an EXCEEDING early childhood setting committed to high-quality, collaboration, and care.

About the role:
You will play a key role in supporting children’s daily routines, learning experiences, and overall well-being in a safe and inclusive environment. Working collaboratively with educators and families, you will help foster each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.

As the Group Leader of our Kookaburras Room (15 children aged 2–3 years), you will:

Create and implement a responsive educational program aligned with the EYLF, children’s interests, and developmental needs

Follow the learning cycle through observation, planning, documentation, and reflection

Maintain up-to-date and meaningful documentation, including learning stories, floorbooks, and developmental summaries

Lead a nurturing and play-rich environment, fostering secure relationships with children and families

Support children’s social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviours and respectful interactions

Facilitate engaging learning experiences through stories, music, sensory play, group time, and hands-on provocations

Respond to children’s cues with warmth, curiosity, and intention — reading, playing, and interacting to support emerging skills

Oversee daily routines including meals, rest, toileting, and transitions, ensuring calm and consistent practice

Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment, maintaining high standards for supervision, hygiene, and wellbeing

Collaborate with your co-educators, sharing ideas, supporting each other’s growth, and contributing to a positive team culture

Engage in ongoing professional learning, reflection, and team meetings to support high-quality practice

Build strong partnerships with families, sharing learning, celebrating milestones, and supporting each child’s journey

What we are looking for:
✔ Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
✔ Minimum 1 year of experience in an early learning setting
✔ Sound understanding of the NQF and EYLF
✔ Positive communication and strong teamwork skills
✔ Current Blue Card
✔ Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
✔ Fluent in English
