The Position

As QC Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Technical / Quality Assurance Team by performing QC functions.

Some on the job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Booking in raw materials

Assisting in maintaining expired stock

Renewing labels and ensuring correct storage conditions

Line Checks

Retrieving and setting up line standards

Creating and collating CofA

Filling and Finishing Sheets

Assisting with manufacturing issues

Assisting warehouse department with Inventory issues

Assisting production with filling and packaging issues

Correct completion and record keeping of all testing results.

Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and record keeping.

Ensuring high level of laboratory and equipment cleanliness.

Conduct trouble shooting & non-conformance investigations.

Conduct temperature monitoring activities and temperature monitoring validations.

Ensure quality systems are compliant with GMP requirements

Maintain, update and control Quality Assurance Documentation

Perform general housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe and hazard free work environment.

Perform other QC/QA and Lab related tasks and activities.

Selection Criteria:

Excellent communication skills and team player

A strong work ethic

Experience in a chemical testing laboratory advantageous

Exposure to Cosmetics / GMP / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing advantageous

Strong attention to detail

Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

A demonstrated commitment to continual improvement and learning.

Ability to work without supervision and continually show initiative

Enthusiasm, with a positive attitude

Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
