V Care Assisted Living is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Carers/Support Workers to join our growing team in the Newcastle and surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide person-centred care and daily living support to NDIS participants across morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional support across flexible shifts, including:

Morning, afternoon & night shifts – tailored to your availability

Daily personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding

Mobility assistance: transfers, hoists, safe movement

Meal prep & housekeeping: cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening

Community engagement: shopping trips, leisure activities, transport support.

What We are Looking For:

A genuine passion for helping others and delivering person-centred care

Certificate III (or working towards) in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current driver's license and a reliable vehicle

Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, or night shifts

Strong communication skills and a caring, patient nature

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personal care with empathy and respect (e.g. showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)

Support participants with mobility, transfers, and safe movement

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and general domestic duties (cleaning, laundry)

Provide transport and support for community access, appointments, and social activities

Build positive, trusting relationships with participants and their families

Accurately document progress, concerns, and changes in care needs

Support participants in building daily living skills and confidence
