Orchard Business Advice is seeking a detail oriented and experienced Registered BAS Agent to join our growing Ipswich based team in a full-time salaried position, taking over from our retiring BAS Agent.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of fewer than 10 small-to-medium business clients across a diverse range of industries, including real estate, NDIS providers, service-based businesses and retail operations. You will be responsible for delivering full-function bookkeeping, including BAS and IAS lodgements, payroll processing and month-end financial reporting. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond basic compliance—providing business owners with accurate financial insights, strategic support and practical solutions to help drive performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-function bookkeeping (bank, payroll, inter entity reconciliations)

BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement under your BAS Agent registration

Payroll processing including STP, superannuation and leave accruals

Monthly cashflow and P&L reporting using Excel-based templates

Client onboarding and training in Xero

Support business improvement through financial insights

Liaise with the ATO, accountants and NDIS (where applicable)

Essential Requirements:

Registered BAS Agent (TPB)

5+ years' experience as a registered bookkeeping

Proficiency in Xero and Excel

Strong communication, accuracy and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple client files independently

Desirable:

Experience with Trust Account, Console, CommBiz, NAB Connect or other platforms

Knowledge of cashflow forecasting and financial modelling
