We are currently seeking a full-time Software Tester (Software and Application Programmer) to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The candidate is expected to perform the following:

Designing and developing a custom job management system tailored to support operations tracking, cost control, logistics coordination, and procurement order management specific to excavation and ground engineering projects

Integrating all system components with the company’s existing and expanding IoT-based infrastructure, ensuring real-time data flow across all connected platforms.

Building a centralized mobile and desktop application featuring live dashboards for all active job sites, offering real-time visibility into equipment status, personnel activity, material deliveries, and critical environmental metrics such as ground movement and water levels

Creating an all-in-one digital solution that streamlines workflows, reduces administrative workload, minimizes data entry errors, and enhances transparency and accountability across job sites

Developing modular, off-the-shelf software components that can be tailored to meet the company’s evolving needs and project-specific requirements

Collaborating closely with project managers, site engineers, and field personnel to understand operational pain points and translate them into scalable technical solutions

Implementing robust data analytics and reporting tools to support performance monitoring, resource allocation, and informed decision-making

Ensuring system scalability and security, with the ability to accommodate additional functionalities, data sources, and future integration needs as the company grows

Conducting regular testing, maintenance, and optimization of software components to ensure high availability, usability, and performance

Researching, consulting, analysing, and evaluating system program needs.

Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures, and methods

Testing, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors and faults in applications programming within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards

Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements and technical specifications in accordance with quality-accredited standards

Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.

Providing advice and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design, financial evaluation, and recommendations for software purchases and upgrades

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the following:

Bachelor degree in Information Technology or a related qualification

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software and application programming or a similar role

Strong knowledge and practical experience in software development principles, methodologies, and tools

Proficiency in backend development (e.g., .NET, Java, or Python) and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)

Demonstrated experience integrating applications with IoT devices or real-time data sources

Strong database design skills and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
