The role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Leading Hand to join our dynamic team at CFS Gear' in Darwin, NT. As our Warehouse Leading Hand, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management, storage, handling, and distribution of our products.

What you'll be doing

Supervising and coordinating the work of warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols

Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate inventory management

Investigating and resolving any issues or discrepancies in the warehouse operations

Maintaining accurate records and providing detailed reports on warehouse activities

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing new initiatives to enhance efficiency

Fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, providing support and guidance to warehouse personnel

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Substantial experience (5+ years) in a warehouse leading hand or supervisory role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team

Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software

Forklift licence and experience in operating warehouse equipment

A commitment to workplace health and safety, with a focus on continuous improvement
