THE FIRM
Business Services Manager role within a reputable mid-tier accounting practice based in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. This well-regarded firm has a strong presence nationally and is known for offering a supportive and collaborative workplace culture, modern systems, and a high standard of technical excellence.
THE ROLE
This is a genuine leadership role that would suit an experienced Manager or a strong Assistant Manager ready to take the next step. Reporting directly to a Partner, you will lead a team of 4 across all levels – from undergraduate to supervisor – and take full ownership of workflow, technical reviews, and client relationships.
Duties:
Managing a client portfolio across a range of industries including high-wealth individuals, SMEs, family groups, and investment entities
Reviewing complex tax returns, financial statements, and business activity statements
Providing proactive business and tax advisory services including structuring, tax planning, and forecasting
Delegating, supervising, and mentoring team members to ensure quality and timeliness of work
Leading workflow planning and managing productivity targets
Supporting the Partner with business development, client strategy, and special projects
YOUR SKILLS
CA/CPA qualified
5 + years’ experience in Business Services within an Australian firm
Prior experience reviewing work and leading a team
Strong technical tax knowledge and commercial acumen
Confident communicator – able to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike
