Position: Fruit Fly Controller
Location: Barmera, SA 5345
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $35 - $36 per hour

We're seeking motivated, hands-on individuals who are committed to helping combat fruit fly outbreaks. This is your opportunity to work in the field-setting traps, inspecting properties, applying treatments, and engaging with the community-all while being part of a dedicated, supportive team.

What We're Looking For:

Background in fruit picking/working outdoors

Current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months)

Unrestricted work rights in Australia

Valid full driver's licence and confidence towing trailers with 4WDs

A can-do, positive attitude

Availability for a paid 3-hour induction before commencing

Interest in long-term opportunities

Your Key Responsibilities:

Inspect produce and properties for signs of fruit fly activity

Collect samples and assist with lab submissions

Record and report inspection outcomes

Engage with the local community and growers to promote pest control practices

Support pest management programs and respond to infestation trends

Help deliver effective control measures in the field
