Position: Bridge Carpenter

• $48.38 per hour + Super

Our government client is looking for Bridge Workers for projects in the Wagga Wagga region. This hands-on role involves performing carpentry trade tasks and related duties to support the upkeep of bridges and drainage structures. You’ll play a key part in maintaining essential infrastructure throughout the area.

Successful candidates will be required to regularly work away from home Monday – Friday with accommodation provided and living away allowance paid.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Carry out carpentry work on bridges and drainage structures.
• Follow safety procedures and project plans at all times.
• Travel regularly and stay in provided camp accommodation.
• Support maintenance tasks with general labouring as needed.

To be successful you will require:

• Carpentry Licence/Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
• At least 12 months experience in a Construction Carpenter Grade 1 or equivalent experience in construction
• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver’s license.
• Workers on Foot (or willing to obtain)
• Willingness to obtain TC (Traffic Controller) ticket if not already held
• Flexibility for 90% of time camping away.
• Ability to work effectively and co-operatively in a team environment

This assignment is expected to run up until the end of October 2025, with the potential to be extended. The role offers up to 38 hours per week.
