This role is ideal for someone with lived experience and a passion for mental health recovery, peer support, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalised peer support under a recovery-oriented model of care
• Collaboratively develop action plans with clients to support their wellbeing and personal goals
• Apply lived experience to build rapport and foster trust with clients
• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and co-facilitate group programs
• Promote mental health recovery principles and represent the department in community networks
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality and reporting requirements
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer supervision

About You:

• Lived experience, including personal lived experience of military service or military family life, and a personal mental health journey
• Skills and knowledge to utilise Lived Experience to respectfully support and educate clients
• Experience in peer support, mentoring, coaching, or mental health services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work (or willingness to obtain)
