We’re seeking a Fire Safety Compliance Manager to oversee and manage the Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) process across a broad network of transport and operational facilities in NSW. This is a critical leadership role that ensures compliance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021, while also coordinating stakeholders, audits, inspections, and reporting processes across a high-profile public infrastructure portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end AFSS compliance for a network of railway stations and operational sites.
• Coordinate inspection, testing, and maintenance data across internal teams, tenants, contractors, and accredited practitioners.
• Provide expert advice on fire safety standards, Building Codes, and Australian regulations.
• Review new fire system designs and changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Engage with external bodies such as councils, fire and rescue authorities, and asset owners to meet legal obligations.
• Lead and mentor a team supporting the compliance and documentation process.

About You:

• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and Building Codes relevant to fire safety systems.
• Proven experience managing AFSS processes or essential services compliance across complex infrastructure.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead across internal and external groups.
• Experience working with accredited practitioners, fire contractors, and facilities teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in fire safety, compliance, or facilities management.
