Position Overview:

The Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance, and packaging stores within the meat processing facility. This role ensures efficient inventory control, accurate stock management, and timely distribution of materials to production areas while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the receiving, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Liaise with procurement and production teams to coordinate material requirements.
  • Oversee loading/unloading of trucks and ensure accurate documentation (delivery dockets, invoices, etc.).
  • Ensure proper storage of products in line with temperature control and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, complying with HACCP, QA, and WHS guidelines.
  • Supervise store personnel, including training, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (valid forklift license preferred).
  • Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies or damage claims.
  • Generate regular reports on stock usage, wastage, and inventory turnover.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse, cold storage, or meat processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock rotation, and supply chain processes.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Competency with inventory management systems and MS Office applications.
  • Forklift license and car licence.

Working Hours, Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus opportunity
