Exciting 12-month temporary opportunity in the heart of Sydney CBD!
Flexible start & finish working hours + annual leave 20 days + additional flex leave (up to 18 days per year)
Classification grade: Clerk Grade 9/10
Salary: $ 129,464- $ 142,665p.a. (excluding employer’s contribution to superannuation and annualised leave loading.)
Work type: Full-Time – 35 hours per week, Temporary role up to 12 months – Presence in the office is required 3-4 times per week.
* Our primary place of work is the CSO Office located at 60-70 Elizabeth Street, Sydney. Please note we will be relocating to a new premises located at Parkline Place, 252 Pitt Street, Sydney in July 2026.
About the Role
The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in supporting the CSO’s strategic and operational objectives by ensuring the effective delivery of budgeting and financial analysis responsibilities. This position enables the CSO to meet its budget targets while upholding compliance with internal policies, legislative obligations, and external regulatory requirements. As an active contributor to the team, the role drives continuous improvement in financial processes and practices. It provides high-quality business insights and management accounting expertise to inform and guide decision-making across the organisation. Although reporting through the Finance function, the role is fully dedicated to supporting the business. This allows the Finance Business Partner to closely collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, building strong working relationships and delivering commercial value through analysis, financial acumen, and strategic support.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have relevant commercial experience working within large, complex organisations and a strong customer focus. Demonstrated skills and experience in building strong, collaborative partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure you become a trusted advisor. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to analyse and interpret the financial results of a business. You will contribute to maintaining robust governance and fit-for-purpose policies and processes.
Essential Requirements:
CA/CPA qualified with current professional membership
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Finance or Economics and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
3+ years' experience in a commercial and/or professional services environment
