About the role

Ready to elevate your finance career and make a real impact?

We’re seeking a Finance Business Partner who goes beyond the numbers - someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement and financial modelling.

As part of our high-performing Financial Planning and Reporting team, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making and shape services that benefit our community.

What you’ll do:

build strong, trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across Council

lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes with precision and insight

deliver high-quality financial modelling to support business cases and strategic initiatives

partner with operational teams to drive financial performance and accountability

translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that support a sustainable and liveable city

We’re looking for someone with:

CPA, CA or equivalent tertiary qualifications

extensive experience in business partnering across multiple stakeholders and departments

advanced financial modelling skills, including scenario analysis and cost-benefit evaluation

strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and persuasively

a strategic mindset and a passion for using finance to enable better outcomes for the community

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
