Guardrail/Road Safety/Civil Construction Supervisor

Guardrail Installations Australia is a fast growing road maintenance and construction company, based in Newcastle, that specialises in the installation of roadside safety barrier systems.

We are seeking an experienced road safety barriers supervisor to manage projects in multiple locations throughout NSW.

The right applicant must be willing to travel and be away from home during work periods.

Accommodation is supplied for away periods, this is usually in an Airbnb.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years related experience working in the civil construction industry, including steel guardrail and wire rope safety barrier installation experience, and be familiar with the materials, machinery, and procedures associated with this work.

Applicants must be computer literate and possess prior management or supervisory experience.

Successful applicant will be required to undertake a medical test, including regular drug & alcohol testing.

· Assist in sales efforts by attending pre- & post-bid meetings, performing measurements, collecting data and developing positive relationships with existing customers.

· Manage project schedules and work directly with crews to keep projects on schedule and under budget.

· Provide project oversight.

· Understand and implement project plans, drawings, and specifications related to guardrail installation.

· Assist crews, manage equipment inspections, operate equipment, provide instruction, and generally manage crews in the field.

· Work directly with the Director and be a liaison between staff in the office and those on site.

· Identify weaknesses and make recommendations to improve the company’s field operations.

· Identify operational needs, locate and organise job requirements.

· Identify equipment needs, recommend for purchase needed equipment, and oversee equipment maintenance and replacement as needed.

Attractive salary package for the right candidate up to $160,000.

Immediate start preferred.

Truck drivers licence preferred.
