About the role

Are you passionate about Early Childhood Education and making a lasting impact on young lives? Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our dynamic Early Learning Centre team in Woodroffe, NT. The position is a full-time role and will be to lead the centre's Preschool program which is integral in providing high-quality education and care for our students.

The Early Childhood Teacher leads, implements, monitors and assesses learning aligned
with the Early Years Learning Framework V2, National Quality Standards and the service philosophy, school values and Vision and Mission.

What you'll be doing …

Planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children aged 2-5 years

Fostering a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment that supports the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of each child

Collaborating with parents and caregivers to support each child's individual needs and interests

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements

Actively participating in team meetings, professional development and continuous improvement initiatives

Promoting the school's Catholic ethos and values in all interactions with children, families and the wider community

What we're looking for …

Completed Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and/or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and be actively working towards a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood

Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the ability to plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning programs incorporating Age Appropriate Pedagogies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Passion for fostering the holistic development of young children and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality Early Childhood Education
