About the role

First Creek Wines is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join their team in Pokolbin, NSW. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting the company's wine production processes through accurate and efficient laboratory testing and analysis.

What you'll be doing

Perform a range of chemical and physical analyses on wine samples to monitor and ensure quality

Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to the highest standards

Assist with the preparation of samples for analysis

Accurately record and report data from laboratory tests

Provide technical support and advice to the winemaking team

Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and processes

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in a scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry, microbiology, oenology)

Minimum 2 years' experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in the wine or food and beverage industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation

Excellent data management and record-keeping skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Knowledge of wine production processes and industry regulations an advantage
