Position: Civil Earthworks – Project Engineer
Location: Office-based with occasional site travel
Contract: 12-month
Experience: 8+ years engineering experience, including 5–7 years in technical, supervisory, or management roles
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for executing scopes within a project, including smaller construction contracts, and supporting the management of larger construction packages. This includes overseeing engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with company policies, and facilitating technical queries (TQs) in coordination with contractors and internal teams. A general understanding of civil and earthworks is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong HSE focus across design and procurement phases.
Set and manage project objectives: scope, schedule, productivity, and budget.
Monitor and communicate project status and KPIs to stakeholders.
Apply established procedures and tools for technical coordination.
Support project delivery workflows and ensure proper change control processes.
Track cost and schedule performance, forecast trends, and prepare project control documentation.
Act as the technical interface with clients and contractors, resolving coordination issues.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
Identify and mitigate technical risks with appropriate contingency planning.
What You’ll Bring:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with professional registration in the local jurisdiction.
Membership in a recognized project management body (e.g., PMI, AIPM, IPMA).
Strong decision-making skills with awareness of cost and schedule impacts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
Experience in EPCM/EPC environments, including site assignments and workshare models.
Ability to organize and manage information in line with company standards and policies.
