Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunications Engineer (part-timer) to lead the delivery and sustainment of operational communications services in a complex energy environment. The role requires technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of telecom systems supporting critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage telecom service delivery and improvement initiatives

Engage stakeholders to align solutions with business needs

Oversee service providers to ensure compliance with standards and safety

Manage project delivery from design to handover

Monitor performance, costs, and compliance of telecom infrastructure

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards

Maintain technical documentation and records

Apply engineering governance and process safety principles

Key Skills & Experience:

10+ years in operational communications/IT in energy, resources, or O&G

Strong project delivery and problem-solving skills

Practical experience with telecom systems (e.g. VSAT, LAN/WAN, radio, CCTV, SCADA)

Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance

Experience working in multi-discipline project environments

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Qualifications:

Degree in Electronic/Communications Engineering or equivalent

CPEng or MIEAust eligibility preferred

Familiarity with Australian and international telecom standards
