We are currently seeking enthusiastic tutors to join our team and support students from Prep to Year 12 in Maths and Science (expertise in additional subjects welcomed).
The Opportunity:
Employment Type: Casual
Location: At our office in Cheltenham, Vic.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Commencement: Recruiting immediately.
This is an in-person role, we do not offer online tutoring. Our office is located in Cheltenham, in Victoria's South East.
What we require from our tutors:
Familiarity with the current Victorian Curriculum and a passion for helping students learn.
Completion of the VCE or equivalent in Australia.
Previous experience as a tutor, teacher, or educator in an English focused role.
Ability to tutor Maths for Prep-Year 10, General Maths (VCE), Maths Methods (VCE) and/or Specialist Maths (VCE), Science Prep-Yr 10, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
Ability to tutor other subjects, such as English, English Literature, English Language, History or a combination of each, to students who might be in Prep, up to Year 12.
Ability to tutor other VCE subjects (desirable but not imperative).
Hold a Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
Bachelor’s degree (or working towards)
Possess own laptop or iPad/tablet
Availability to be rostered a minimum of three days per week, Monday-Saturday within the hours of 3-9pm (10am-4pm on Saturdays). Additional hours may be required during the day on occasion.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday availability preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
