About the role

First Creek Wines is seeking a full-time Winery Cellar Hand to join our passionate team in Pokolbin, NSW 2320. As a Winery Cellar Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall winemaking process and ensuring the efficient operation of our winery and bottling line.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the processing of grapes during vintage, including crushing, pressing, and transferring must/juice to fermentation vessels

Monitoring and maintaining fermentation conditions, such as temperature and baume levels

Performing regular cellar tasks, including racking, topping, and barrel management

Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all winery equipment and facilities

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to winery operations

Providing support to the winemaking team as needed

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a winery cellar or production environment, preferably within the wine industry

Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and operating machinery

Flexibility to work during peak seasonal periods, including weekends and public holidays

A current driver's license and the ability to operate a forklift (or willingness to obtain the necessary certification)
