Position Objective:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications and Engagement Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and executing integrated communication and content strategies that advance Ports Victoria’s objectives and initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver targeted communication campaigns and activities, ensuring all communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with Ports Victoria’s brand, values, and voice.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication and Content Management:

Develop and implement communication strategies and plans to support Ports Victoria’s goals.

Create high-quality content for various communication channels, including media releases, website articles, social media posts, newsletters, speeches, and internal announcements.

Manage digital communication channels, ensuring alignment with brand and messaging guidelines.

Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform communication strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, port users, community groups, industry partners, and the media.

Significant Working Relationships:

Internal: Chief Executive Officer, Head of Development, Executive management, Managers, Employees

External: Government departments and agencies, Media outlets, Local council and community groups, Industry bodies, Port users, Contracted service providers, Environment and advocacy groups, Crisis response and emergency management partners
