YOU:

· Have completed a relevant degree (see details below).

· Are available for most before and after school care sessions Monday – Friday. (This position WILL include split shifts).

· Can handle a fast-pace environment. We have 105 children in attendance, aged 4-12, spread across 3-5 different care areas. Clear communication, initiative, and teamwork skills are ESSENTIAL.

· Have experience supervising and engaging with children.

· Are comfortable with administrative tasks such as processing forms, programming activities, and corresponding with families.

REQUIREMENT:

This position is only available to people who meet the criteria for ‘first qualified educator’ in South Australia. ACECQA defines this as someone who has completed one of the following in Australia:

· Completed a Diploma or Bachelor degree in a relevant field (list provided: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2024-08/ACECQAApprovedQualificationListOSHC.pdf); or

· Completed at least 50% of a Bachelor of Education degree specifically.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:

· Permanent Part Time, at CSE Level 4.1 – Qualified.

· 25 hours per week in a set roster according to the service's needs. After School Care availability is critical.

· During School Holidays (and often Pupil Free Days) additional hours will be available between 6:45am - 6:15pm.

· 3-month Probationary period.

· Paid public holidays.

· 2 weeks Annual Leave will be taken over Christmas / New Year in line with service closure.

· The position accrues Annual, Sick and Long Service Leave, and superannuation is paid at 12%.

PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT:

The successful candidate must have the following:

· An ACECQA recognized Qualification.

· Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) certificate.

· Current Responding to Risk of Abuse and Neglect Training (RRHAN-EC) certificate.

· Current Providing an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting (including annual CPR refresher) certificate.

· Do Food Safely hygiene training certification.
