Maintenance Electrician

Dux Manufacturing Limited trading as Dux Hot Water is a leading manufacturer and importer of water heaters for domestic applications. In 2015, Dux celebrated 100 years of operation in Australia. This was a very significant milestone and shows a commitment to Australian Manufacturing through our state-of-the-art production facility in Moss Vale.

The company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for our manufacturing plant. This role will report to the Maintenance Manager and be based at Moss Vale in NSW.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Day to day repair, setup and inspection of a wide variety of equipment. Also, responding to and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

· Recording of daily activities, PM outcomes and data recording in written or computer form (eg. using Mainpac maintenance management system).

· Work in a safe manner following all company safety requirements. Be able to effectively carry out risk assessments.

· Be proactive and creative in developing ways of improving equipment reliability. Be able to manage small projects such as new equipment installation and modifications.

· Be diligent in recording stores parts requirements and usage.

· Effectively communicate with other maintenance workers, operations staff and management.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Desired qualifications and experience:

· Minimum electrical trade (C10) qualifications. Engineering or dual trade qualifications could allow opportunity to move to a C5 trade classification in the future.

· Skills such as PLCs troubleshooting, Drive configuration or Robots would be highly regarded. (Allen Bradley, CT and Kuka brands are used at Dux)

· Able to work overtime when required to support operational requirements. The position will be Afternoon shift.

· Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Ability to work autonomously.
