The Neurological Council of WA is a well-regarded not-for-profit based at The Niche Lotteries House, QEIIMC, Nedlands with regional offices in the South-West, Mid-West and Great Southern and mobile teams in Peel and Wheatbelt. We seek two experienced registered nurses to join our team. We welcome applications from senior enrolled nurses for our future applicant pool.
Community Neurological Nurses (CNNs) deliver state-wide community-based neurological nursing and outreach, and health and disability navigation services for people of all ages living with any neurological condition or symptom. We offer NeuroCare services for adults and NeuroKids for children and young people and their caregivers.
Our CNNs undertake neuro-nursing consultations via telehealth, and home and hospital visits and work in partnership with hospital, health, aged and disability care professionals. Our CNNs are committed to optimising the safety, health and wellbeing of clients, carers & families, as well as improving community wide neurological and brain health understanding and literacy.
We offer specialist on-the-job training for brain and nervous system disorders from an experienced and supportive team in a unique community health setting, as well as genuine healthy work-life balance, professional autonomy and satisfying and rewarding work.
These positions are for NeuroCare and is offered on a fixed term contract basis for up to 12 months with possible extension, subject to funding and performance. As a State-wide service, we will consider responsible RNs with strong relevant experience based in any region in WA.
Our community neurological nurses enjoy:
Excellent working conditions within core hours 8.30-4.30 Monday to Friday, mostly working or commuting from home.
Attractive remuneration package of $97,000 PLUS 12% super, additional wellness and cultural leave days and generous salary packaging up to $18,550 for general living expenses.

To be considered for the role, you will need:
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration with excellent clinical competency in nursing practice;
Skills in providing information, education, assessment, support and advocacy for patients, carers and families impacted by health conditions.
Confidence to deliver effective and engaging education and training to health professionals and service providers.
Exceptional client service and time management focussed on maximising client outcomes.
Proficiency in using technology and online client management systems for appointments and documentation.
Relevant WA Health immunisations and worker screening checks
Current WA drivers' licence and ability and willingness to travel within the designated region to provide community nursing services in people's homes (All CNNs have monitored personal alarms and devices)
