Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Services Technician to maintain cleanliness, oversee laundry operations, and perform basic maintenance tasks in and around our facility. This vital role ensures that our environment remains clean, operational, and well-maintained to support the seamless operation of our organisation. Additionally, you may be required to assist with destruction and dispatch activities.

This position may require flexibility in working hours, including weekends and rotating shifts, depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting various areas, including GMP and GACP facilities, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Ensuring cleaning activities comply with organizational procedures and safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment to clean facility mops, uniforms, and other washable items.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry according to organizational schedules and needs.
• Monitor laundry supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks as directed by management.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining facility equipment as required.
• Perform routine inspections to identify and address minor maintenance issues before they escalate.
• Respond promptly and effectively to facility-related requests.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in storage areas and workspaces.
• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, laundry operations, and minor maintenance activities.
• Assist with destruction and dispatch activities as required.

To be successful in this role you need to:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior experience in cleaning, laundry services, or basic maintenance is preferred.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and have your own transportation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20kg.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment with the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Be able to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
