The role
SCOTS PGC College is a co-educational day and boarding school set in a picturesque rural location on the edge of Warwick. With students from Prep to Year 12, we are proud to offer a balanced and personalised education shaped by strong values and a warm community spirit.
We are currently seeking a caring and responsible person to join our Boys’ Boarding team. This position plays a key role in the daily life of the Boarding House, supporting the team to provide high-quality supervision and pastoral care for our boarders. The role includes assisting with routines, building positive relationships, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students under our care.
This is a casual position (up to 20 hours per week) to commence as soon as possible. The successful applicant will need to commit to working evenings and some weekends.
What you’ll do:
· Supervise and care for boarding students, ensuring a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
· Assist with day-to-day routines including meals, study prep, activities, and bedtimes.
· Provide a calm and reassuring presence during sleepover shifts.
· Maintain effective communication with students, staff and families as needed.
· Support the emotional and social development of students in line with College values and policies.
The ideal candidate will have:
· A genuine interest in working with young people in a residential setting.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and some weekends.
· A current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
· A current Blue Card (or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement).
· Previous experience in a similar role or residential environment is desirable but not essential.
